The clouds were definitely wafting on this day. So many colors in that sky! Have you ever really studied clouds to see how many colors you can spot? No, they are not just white or just gray. They are pink and yellow and purple and orange! Watch them next time, waft across the sky. And see just how many colors you can find.
This painting was born out of a desire to specifically paint clouds. I was, once again, cloud watching and I saw all the colors and had to try to get them out on canvas!
Waft is an original 4”x6” piece in the Clouds for the Sky collection (you can learn more about the collection here). Acrylic paint on cradled wood with 1 ½” unfinished wood sides. Because this piece is painted on wood you will see the texture of the wood showing through. This piece comes unframed and can be hung as is, stand-alone, or framed in a floater frame (frame not included but if you would like suggestions for framing, contact me, I’m happy to help!). Each work is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity is included.
