I took a trip earlier this year. The first one I had been able to go on in a couple of years due to travel restrictions and because of that, it felt even more special. That reason, and also because it was a trip with just my mom, my best girl friend. Isn’t that an amazing thing to be able to say? That my mom is my bestie? We go together on a trip every other year and this year was our year and we chose to visit Santa Fe.
Along with many laughs and stories to bring home we also saw some beautiful scenery. This painting was born of that trip. The desert colors of Santa Fe are a far cry from where I live in NorCal and it was beautiful! And maybe there weren’t actual pink skies, (in fact the skies were the bluest I’ve seen) yet the radiance of the place shines and it takes me back.
Radiance is an original 5”x7” piece in the Clouds for the Sky collection (you can learn more about the collection here). Acrylic paint and charcoal on cradled wood with 1 ½” unfinished wood sides. Because this piece is painted on wood you will see the texture of the wood showing through. This piece comes unframed and can be hung as is, stand-alone, or framed in a floater frame (frame not included but if you would like suggestions for framing, contact me, I’m happy to help!). Each work is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity is included.
