One of my favorite things to do is go on drives with my family. I love to ride in the car and look at the scenery. And while we are driving around (with myself as a passenger) I snap photos of things that might become a painting. This one came from such a drive. The clouds were in motion that day, but so was I. Driving around, exploring this area I call home, surrounded by my favorite people. It brings a contented feeling just thinking about it. I hope as you look at this work you feel the contentment and peace that I experienced at this moment.
Motion is an original 4”x6” piece in the Clouds for the Sky collection (you can learn more about the collection here). Acrylic and charcoal on cradled wood with 1 ½” unfinished wood sides. Because this piece is painted on wood you will see the texture of the wood showing through. This piece comes unframed and can be hung as is, stand-alone, or framed in a floater frame (frame not included but if you would like suggestions for framing, contact me, I’m happy to help!). Each work is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity is included.
