A painting born of my travels this year. My mom and I had been driving all around Santa Fe looking for just the right photo op to capture the beautiful light of that morning. Yes, the mountains were actually blue and the ground was actually a pinky-orange, I just enhanced the colors with my paintbrush and I quite like it. And the cumulus clouds dancing on the blue mountains give it the gleam I was looking for.
Gleam is an original 6”x6” piece in the Clouds for the Sky collection (you can learn more about the collection here). Acrylic paint on cradled wood with 1 ½” unfinished wood sides. Because this piece is painted on wood you will see the texture of the wood showing through. This piece comes unframed and can be hung as is, stand-alone, or framed in a floater frame (frame not included but if you would like suggestions for framing, contact me, I’m happy to help!). Each work is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity is included.
